Pushing for peace in Darfur

There are a number of different groups working on bringing awareness to the crisis in Darfur. I have been looking over a number of the web sites and looking for more information myself so that I can feel as if I have a better understanding of the issues involved.

Clearly there is a lot I don't understand. How can I? Life in the US is so very different in many ways from the life that the people of the Sudan live. Yet there is a common factor that draws me into the conversations about what is happening to the masses in this area. No human should have to live in the kind of fear and poverty that exists in Darfur or in any other part of the world for that matter.

The next few days will provide a focus around the world for support of the people of Darfur. Take some time to investigate the issue and do what you can to help stop the violence.
