(The Word Present in Creation)


I am currently working on a project at the church that is revising the booklet on our stained glass windows. This is one of my favorites what is called the Creation Window. Below is a brief description of the symbols found in the window.

By the word of God…..the visible came forth from the invisible
Hebrews 11:3

Symbols found in this window and their meaning

The hand of God Dividing -“In the beginning, God….”
the Waters-

Stars -“The heavens declared the
Glory of God…”

Fish and Growing Plants -“The earth is the Lord’s”

Atomic Symbol -The physical unity of the
universe

I do enjoy looking at the windows when ever I am in the sanctuary. It is one of the things I miss about the summer move to the fellowship hall. It is cooler in there, but the atmosphere, well it leaves something to the imagination. Well summer is half over and soon we will migrate back to the upper sections of the building.
